Dr. Ronald Davis is a Senior Law Analyst and writer with Davis Moldaver LLP. Founded in 2000, the firm specializes in banking and real estate litigation, corporate and shareholder disputes, mortgage remedies and professional negligence.

Dr. Davis completed his law degree in 1982, graduating from the Common Law en français program at the University of Ottawa. After articling with esteemed family and civil litigator Philip Epstein, Q.C., Mr. Davis was called to the Bar in 1984.

As a litigator, Dr. Davis worked on a diverse array of civil litigation cases from the trial arena to the Supreme Court of Canada, including cases with Martin Wunder, Q.C. and Edward L. Greenspan, Q.C. Throughout this eighteen-year period, Dr. Davis collaborated closely with his brother Milton Davis on many cases. Theirs is a successful and rich working relationship.

In 2002, while remaining a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Dr. Davis became a Senior Appeals Clerk, drafting briefs (factums) for senior counsel on major appeals and complex cases.

Dr. Davis holds a Ph.D. in French linguistics from the University of Toronto, where he held a part-time appointment as an assistant professor in the French department. He is also a well-known Canadian jazz pianist.
